En-Gedi Children’s Home - June 2026 Update
In all ways, God is good and faithful, He has been our Rock, our fortress and our deliverer. He has sustained us all well, provided for our needs and has been present with us in all circumstances. He is God Emmanuel and God our Ebenezer! Praise be to Him.
All of you our friends and partners with me in this wonderful ministry to God’s special children are receiving this update because we love you and appreciate your partnership in a very special way. We have taught a few of our children who are able to perceive things how to pray, and there is always one kid who prays for you, our friends and our supporters. Even though we do not get the words as pronounced, God hears every one of those prayers. So as you pray for us, we also pray for you.
We have enjoyed a peaceful time with minimal health issues even though some of the more delicate children have continued to degenerate. We do our best for them, and leave God to do the rest. We are back to 26 children and a few babies out there waiting to get a bed. We continue to wait for God’s timing for us to expand the Home so that we accommodate more children. I will keep you updated when the plans start to take shape. Meanwhile, our Home continued to be a model home for excellent care for severely challenged children.
Newest in our community outreach is formation of a social support group for mothers with special needs children who they are still taking care of. Some of these moms are not able to work outside of their homes because they have no one to leave the child with; and not just that: because of the stigma and belief systems that are associated with disabilities, some of the mothers are completely secluded and lonely. It’s my prayer that our monthly meetings will uplift the spirits of these moms and open ways of visitation to each other and to En-Gedi Home.
1 Peter 4:10 “ Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms”.
